YouTube generates in excess of 2bn views per day

According to the site’s official blog, the average user spends 15 minutes a day on the video-sharing site, with the 2 billion daily views equating to “nearly double the prime-time audience of all three major US television networks combined”.

5 years old last month, YouTube growth has been nothing short of impressive. With more than 24 hours of video uploaded to the site every minute, in addition to these newly released daily viewing stats, YouTube has without doubt crossed another milestone and has a lot to celebrate.
