Twitter hits the streets
How do you convince Americans that Canada is a must visit holiday destination?
(No, the answer is not “cover it in cheese”.) Simple; you show your greatest assets, current or recent visitors to Canada, to the indecisive but impressionable American public.
The streets of major US cities such as New York, Chicago and LA have been rigged with interactive billboards that showcase real time Canadian holiday highlights, via Twitter, Twit pics and other online conversations.
Passersby can take a break from the daily grind to interact with the live feeds and see firsthand the diversity of holiday options Canada has to offer.
A nice way of harnessing the immense amount of user generated content out there and bringing it to those of us who don’t have a Twitter account and still venture out to the high street to do our shopping.
