New study on digital media consumptions habits of British students
Studentbeans, the UK's leading website for marketing to 15-24 year olds (Nielsen Online) has created 'The 2010 Youth Insight Report.
Research for the report was through online questionnaire and face-to-face interviews with 2,500 students and outlines student's spending and media consumption habits along with what students really think about advertising and marketing aimed at them.
Students spend on average 2.9 hours on the internet (excluding study time), 1.2 hours watching TV and 0.7 hours reading national newspapers. Interestingly a hefty 35% of students surveyed reported they don't as they don’t own a TV because they are in halls. This has led them to catch-up with their favorite shows online thanks to on-demand services.
