MediaCom Edinburgh announce new Managing Director

MediaCom Scotland have announced today the promotion of former Deputy Managing Director, David Shearer to Managing Director.

Shearer, who has worked at MediaCom for over 8 years is a highly respected figure within the Scottish media industry and a well respected member of MediaCom Scotland. David has been working alongside Euan Jarvie over the past 12 months to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted management handover.

Jane Ratcliffe, Chief Executive of MediaCom UK, says “David’s appointment follows 8 years of hard work growing the MediaCom Scotland brand alongside Euan and I am sure that hew will continue to build on this success.”

David and his new management team in Edinburgh are in the process of making some account management changes, which will be announced in due course.

Euan Jarvie, former MD of Ireland and Scotland will be moving to a new global development role reporting to the Worldwide CEO and Chairman at Mediacom, Stephen Allan. Euan added “On a personal note I am extremely proud of what we have achieved in Edinburgh and would be delighted to hand control of the business I started 11 years ago to David as I know he is the right man for the job.”
